Building Champions On and Off the Track

Who We Are

Precision Driving Concepts (PDC) is a Southern California-based driver development race team. Our mission is to create well-rounded drivers by focusing on the fundamentals, tailoring programs to individual needs, and building a foundation for success in motorsport. We believe in the power of hard work, passion, and the shared joy of victory. Their wins are our wins.

Founded by KC Cook, a karting champion and professional driver coach, PDC has grown into a premier program for aspiring racers. Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of drivers achieve success in karting, racecars, and beyond.

What Drives Us

At PDC, we believe that racing is more than just speed—it’s about discipline, character, and continuous learning. Our approach combines on-track training with off-track development; including fitness, mental focus, and the skills sponsors look for in professional drivers.

"We never lose if we always learn."

What Our Clients Say

  • “KC Cook and his team at Precision Driving Concepts have been absolutely essential to our son’s go-kart racing career. They provided invaluable instruction in driving fundamentals, racing line theory, track safety, and the mental aspects of racing. Thanks to their guidance, our son’s development curve has been greatly accelerated, boosting his confidence and leading to race wins and championships. What truly sets PDC apart is their ability to connect with each driver individually, understanding how to communicate and bring out their maximum potential. KC and Brandon Boone made this transition seamless, helping our son build on his foundational skills and continue his success with more wins and championships. We are incredibly grateful to KC Cook and PDC for their expertise and commitment, and we owe much of our son’s success in go-kart racing to their support. ”

  • “We first met KC at Calspeed Karting when he was training a fellow competitor in Kid Kart class. At the introduction, KC and Kendall hit it off instantly! KC started with the early fundamentals of gas/brake, apex, safety, and racing etiquette for a new driver. He simplified the lesson by drawing out the proper racing line on his Track Map and reviewed GoPro Video to correct Kendall's bad habits. His ability to communicate with a newcomer who is also a 6-year-old child was instrumental in the quick development and progress we saw in Kendall. It's been three years and two class moves since starting with KC and we are still seeing growth at every lesson. Kendall says, “Coach KC teaches good lessons that he can see I need and tells me in a way that I understand, he’s also pretty cool!” We can't Thank KC enough for the mentorship of Kendall's racing career.”

  • "We can't express enough gratitude for the impact KC has had on our son Daniel’s karting journey. Starting at just 8 years old, Daniel was introduced to the sport with KC’s guidance and mentorship, and over the past four years along other important people we met, we've seen him grow not just as a driver, but as a young individual with discipline, focus, and determination. KC’s expertise, patience, and commitment have played a huge role in Daniel's development, both on and off the track. Now, at 12 years old, Daniel is not only a more skilled racer, but he’s also learned invaluable life lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and handling challenges. "

  • "I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have KC as a coach, big brother and friend throughout my entire racing journey in motorsports. I started go-karting with him at just 6 years old, and from day one, I knew I was learning from someone with exceptional skill and knowledge. By the time I was 12 it was time to move up, KC took the next step and taught me how to drive a manual car, building my confidence on the road. But it didn’t stop there. Under his guidance, I learned advanced techniques like heel-toe shifting, car weight transfer, and the finer details of racing car craft. KC’s teaching goes beyond the mechanics of driving—he’s instilled in me a deep understanding of how a car reacts and how to truly master the track. His mentorship has shaped me into the driver I am today, and I couldn’t have achieved what I have without him."

  • "The foundation of my success today was laid with KC’s guidance. As a young kart driver, I was unsure where my career would go, but his coaching and mentorship helped me sharpen my skills on track and grow as a leader off track. Fast forward three years, I won the Spec MX-5 Shootout and secured a coveted position as a Mazda Motorsports Factory Driver for 2025."
